Past Trauma can get triggered
Those who have experienced trauma, or have ongoing life stressors may feel triggered due to the COVID pandemic. Granted, we are all stressed out and traumatized to some extent. ( we are in global crisis). Even though we are all going through this after all some can feel very alone with personal struggles.
Dr. Dan Siegel coined the terms, “Name it to tame it “ and “when it’s sharable, it’s bearable” This refers to being able to bring mindfulness observations to our experience, instead then it feeling overwhelming, messy unmanageable – not feeling alone feeling understood and to some extent releasing it by expressing it in the presents of a supportive person
